About the Opportunity

To continue the growth of IMB business banking in the Sydney market, IMB is now looking for an experienced and client focused Relationship Manager to join their team. 

Reporting to the National Manager - Business Banking, your primary responsibility will be to maintain an existing portfolio of SME clients and identify new SME opportunities within your allocated territory.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include:

  • Conducting business banking activities with the view to grow your portfolio to achieve sales targets and business banking objectives;
  • Acquiring new business clients and handling their transactional, savings and lending requirements;
  • Developing external referral networks to source new business client opportunities;
  • Managing an existing client portfolio and maximising opportunities for further relationship development;
  • Promoting IMB’s business banking solutions through the organisation's branch and mobile lending network and wider market place; and
  • Contributing to the performance of IMB’s Business Banking team.

About You 

This position may be well suited to a Local Business Banker, Relationship Manager or Business Banking Specialist within a bank/building society who's looking for an alternative career proposition within their local community.

The successful candidate will be highly capable and ready to hit the ground running, with experience in business banking within the SME sector. Well developed knowledge and skill in commercial lending, credit and financial analysis will also be imperative to your success, to ensure client needs and objectives are clearly understood and delivered upon. 

With a proven track record in maintaining and managing a solid portfolio resulting in growth, you will be an organised self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and effectively manage your time. Additionally, IMB is looking for someone who has the ability to apply a strategic lens to identify opportunities across market segments and implement a business plan with a view to diversifying and gaining new business in the Sydney region.

As IMB’s Relationship Managers work in conjunction with Lenders, Financial Planners and a wide retail network distribution channel, the ability to work collaboratively across the business and maintain great working relationships (particularly with credit) is a must. 

Please note: A company branded car will be provided - you must hold a current, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
